Traveling can be difficult to plan, especially these days. Sometimes things come up that make it necessary to cancel/postpone your trip. Climb safe Kilimanjaro does not want to make a profit from cancellations. But we can’t afford to lose either. If you need to reschedule a trip, we will apply 100% of the refundable deposit to your new travel date within 24 months. By refundable deposit we mean that if we have paid for safari lodge accommodation, flights or any other payment from a third party and their cancellation policy does not allow a full refund, we must deduct that amount from the amount deposited. If you have to cancel a trip entirely, we will refund the eligible amount minus 10% to cover our costs. If payment was made by bank card, we may be able to reverse the transaction. Otherwise, refunds will be made via bank-to-bank direct transfer. Transfer fees (usually $50 from Tanzania) must be deducted from the refund amount. You are welcome to transfer your deposit to someone else if you prefer.

Regarding the case where some members in your group are not able to participate, the price of the itinerary for all participants would be recalculated according to the new group size. As an example, a Kilimanjaro trek using Machame Route 7 Days itinerary costs $2010/person based on 4 participants. If two participants cancel before the start of the trip, then the remaining two would pay $2135/person (the cost of the Machame 7 Days trek for 2 people).
